Privacy Policy

Route Wars uses personal data to operate the game, keep accounts secure, remember progress, support nearby-route play, process city requests, and diagnose service problems. This policy describes the current closed-test implementation and should be reviewed before broad public launch, EU/EEA city launch, or advertising activation.

Data we may process

  • Account and session data for sign-in, recovery, and closed-test access.
  • Game progress such as route, stop progress, cash, inventory, scores, and run history.
  • Browser location while finding nearby routes or checking arrival at a stop.
  • City requests, which may include an approximate submitted location.
  • Operational logs used to diagnose errors and keep Route Wars running.

Location data

Browser location is used while choosing nearby routes, checking whether a city is supported, or checking arrival at a stop. Normal route lookup and arrival checks should stay same-origin with Route Wars. Unsupported-city requests may store submitted latitude and longitude so demand for new cities can be reviewed.

Cookies and browser storage

The game uses a session cookie for sign-in, localStorage for a local browser copy of game state and splash dismissal, and service-worker caches for the game app shell. The public site also publishes a cleanup service worker to remove old game-shell caches from the root domain.

Advertising and consent

Route Wars native apps may show Google AdMob native ads on the route selection and end-game screens. The mobile web app does not show these ads. Where required, the app asks for advertising consent and provides a way to revisit advertising privacy choices.

Account deletion

Route Wars accounts can be deleted from the Account screen. If the app is no longer installed, use the public account-deletion page to delete the account through the web app or request deletion from Route Wars support.

  • Object to or restrict processing where the law allows.
  • Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
  • Request portability where applicable.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.
