Location-Based Games

Place-aware play without creepy tracking

Location-based games are at their best when place changes the decisions players make. Route Wars uses location to find nearby routes and check route progress, not to publish a live movement feed.

What location changes

In Route Wars, being near a route or stop can affect what you can select and how a run moves forward. The city itself becomes part of the decision space.

What location should not become

Location should not become a surprise dossier. Route Wars should avoid collecting more than it needs, avoid exposing provider keys in the browser, and keep privacy notices plain enough for players to understand.

Why lightweight matters

Route Wars is designed around quick sessions and mobile play. The experience should fit into public transport life rather than demanding that players stare at a screen instead of paying attention.
